  2. Exercise Daily
Exercising daily helps you to lose weight and boosts your metabolism slowly; it helps increase the fixed amount of calories burnt daily. It is advisable to work out early in the morning, since you are on an empty stomach you burn fat straight from the reserves in your body. You can incorporate simple workouts in your day to day activities like walking short distances, dancing while doing household chores, doing push ups and plank exercises when you are sitting at home etc. It is important to exercise for weight loss.
  3. Regular Meals
Eating at regular intervals of time is very important to make sure your body gets the right amount of energy at regular intervals, It is advisable to have 5 – 6 small meals a day rather than 3 large meals. Healthy Eating Tips for This Festive Season

The wedding and festive season is almost upon us, and safe to say, you want to look fit and fine at all times. But the festive season will also result in an increase in the amount of unhealthy food you will be surrounded by. You may not always have time to hit the gym and burn those calories off, but there are numerous other ways in which you can stay healthy and maintain your shape. Read along to know more about how to lose weight naturally:
  1. Smaller Plates
Switching your regular dish for a smaller plate is one of the best ways to lose weight. It’s all about tricking your body about how much you’re eating. When you eat in a smaller plate, you tend to take smaller portions since it gets filled easily. This reduces your chances of overeating and makes you conscious of your appetite.
  2. Balanced Diet
It is important to maintain a balance in your diet. You must include food items from all the food categories in adequate amounts. A balanced diet will provide you the essential nutrients that your body needs to function daily.
  3. Count Calories
Keeping a track of your daily calorie intake is a good practice. Make notes of how much you consume in each meal. This will help you to understand where you can cut down unnecessary calories and how much you can burn with your exercise routine.
  4. Concentrate on your Meals
Concentrate on your food when you’re having a meal. Watching TV or playing on a device is distracting. You won’t be able to pay attention to what you are eating and this generally leads to unhealthy and over eating.
  5. Breakfast
It’s true what most nutritionists say- Never skip breakfast. A fulfilling breakfast in the morning is important to kickstart your day. If you don’t eat a healthy, nutritious breakfast, you will feel tired and drained all day. This will also slow down digestion and reduce your weight-loss process.
  6. Don’t Starve
Following a quick weight loss diet plan is fine, but never starve yourself to look fit. Starvation messes up the functioning of your internal organs and slows down blood rate. This, in turn, will hinder weight loss in more ways than it will help.
  7. Increase Greens
Green leafy vegetables are packed with essential nutrients that your body requires. Add them into your meals wherever possible to ensure that your diet is well balanced and wholesome. Fresh fruits and vegetables should be a part of all your meals through the day.
  8. U-Lipo
When all else fails, there’s always Prettislim’s U-Lipo. If you’re looking for a quick, pain-free and guaranteed hack to looking fit, U-lipo is your answer. Liposuction costs in Mumbai are exorbitantly high, and frankly, quite risky since it uses surgery. U-lipo on the other hand, is non surgical, thus making is easy on the pocket as well!
Don’t forget, everybody’s body is different in its own way. Depending on your body and lifestyle requirements, plan your diet well. Just remember to drink loads of water and follow these steps, and you are sure to achieve your dream body, regardless of the festive season’s temptations.

Get Set to lose weight

Being overweight can have a negative effect on your health and physical appearance. It is very important to make sure you do not look out of shape or feel unfit. While the process to lose weight can require a lot of motivation and a little bit of a push, it is surely worth the results.
The most commonly asked question is – How to lose weight? The answer is really simple. Following a healthy diet, exercising regularly and staying determined are the key factors to lose weight. These weight loss tips are very efficient and helpful and almost always provide results. There are various programs which help a person to get rid of obesity, which include how to lose weight in a week, month, or half a year. This kind of variety offered makes it very convenient for the clients to lose weight.
Diet plays a major role in maintaining the weight of a particular person. Eating unhealthy junk food and excess of cheese and butter or sugary drinks results in a person becoming overweight. On the other hand, consumption of healthy food results in a person staying healthy and fit.
Here are 10 easy tips to lose weight fast by controlling the kind of food you consume:
  1. Eat a high-protein breakfast – the body uses more calories to metabolize protein, compared to fat or carbs. Protein also keeps you feeling fuller for longer, hence you tend to eat less but stay healthier.
  2. Avoid sugary drinks – Fructose causes resistance to a hormone called leptin, which makes the brain not “see” that the fat cells are full of fat. This leads to increased food intake and decreased fat burning.
  3. Drink water a half hour before meals – Because water is an appetite suppressant, drinking it before meals can make you feel fuller, therefore reducing the amount of food you eat.
  4. Eat soluble fiber - Viscous fiber may reduce your appetite, helping you eat less without trying.
  5. Drink coffee or tea – Both of these beverages can contribute to a reduced-calorie diet, to help you lose weight and belly fat, when you drink them without any added sugar, milk or cream.
  6. Eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods – Base most of your diet on whole foods. They are healthier, more filling and much less likely to cause overeating.
  7. Eat your food slowly – fast eaters are up to 115% more likely to be obese, compared to slower eaters
  8. Use smaller plates – Studies show that people automatically eat less when they use smaller plates. Strange, but it works.
  9. Get a good night’s sleep, every night – Poor sleep is one of the strongest risk factors for weight gain, so taking care of your sleep is important.
  10. Choose weight loss friendly foods – Whole eggs, leafy greens, salmon, boiled potato, tuna.
Exercise plays an equally important role in weight loss. To lose weight, one must regularly go for a run or engage in some kind of physical activities. Exercising daily will help increase your endurance and strength over time.
So, if you are finding ways to lose weight in a week this September, the Obesity Camp is the perfect place for you to be. Held between 18th and 24th September, this camp involves a string of exercises and diets which leads to weight loss. So register yourself for this camp and get set to lose weight!

Clean Eating For A Clean Fit

All of us have been a victim of falling off our diet plans and binge eating on our favorite junk foods. Sometimes it gets to a point where one fine day those jeans you love start getting tighter and tighter and more and more uncomfortable. Here’s a few tips on how to lose belly fat by creating a diet plan for weight loss and eating clean so you can fit into your favorite pair of jeans.
  1. Balance: A quick weight loss diet plan should first and foremost have a good balance in nutrition. A lot of people completely cut out carbs from their diet hoping to lose weight fast, but carbs are our fuel, a necessity. The right healthy way is to reduce the amount of carbohydrates while maintaining a good balance between the carbs, proteins and fat.
  2. Clean Food: We all wonder, how to lose tummy fat? The answer is very clear, eat good clean food. Processed foods are your biggest enemy when it comes to losing that stubborn tummy fat. They contain loads of sugar and sodium while providing inferior nutrition. Nothing beats food cooked in your house where you know exactly what is being put into it.
  3. Working out: A good diet plan to lose weight is useless without a good workout plan to go with it. Working out even 3 times a week will provide good results. Today, there are many different regimens to choose from (Zumba, Spinning, Crossfit etc.) and trainers to help you get results. While cardio is essential, strength training is also a must to strengthen your muscles and tone your body. There is no substitute for hard work in the gym.
  4. Consistency: The key to losing belly fat is consistency. You have to be consistent in following your diet and workout plans. If you go off track, all the hard work put in for days will go to waste in that one moment of weakness. So, be consistent in eating clean everyday and following your gym routine, making excuses will lead you nowhere.
  5. Calories: It is important to know how many calories you need to maintain your current weight and then accordingly create a diet plan which is lower than your maintenance calories in order to lose weight. There are several calorie counters available which take into account your height, age and gender to come up with an approximation of the number of calories you need to maintain your weight.
  6. Eat smaller portions: Eating small portions boosts your metabolism, a lot of people say this but it has been proven to be wrong by various studies. BUT, eating in smaller portions still helps in other ways. Eating small portions consistently along the course of a day maintains our blood-sugar level staving off hunger, blood sugar levels start to fall after 3-4 hours so eating every 3-4 hours in a day will help maintain sugar levels and helping us stay on course with our weight loss diet plan.
These are some tips to help you understand and create a quick weight loss diet plan so you can wear all your favorite clothes without a worry. But one should understand that everyone is different and you know your body best so use these tips as a guideline to create the perfect diet plan for your weight loss journey!

Know Your Calorie Count

Nutrition and weight loss go hand in hand. Nutritional science is an entire medical vertical that deals with the study of the effects of food on metabolism, health and performance but tracking calorie intake is something anyone can do.
The idea of counting calories became popular around the turn of the 20th century when American scientist Wilbur Atwater revealed that a “bomb calorimeter” could measure how much “energy” was present in a certain kind of food. Apart from losing weight, counting calories is recommended for anyone who wants to build mass, increase strength and boost endurance.
To put it very simply, when you diet to lose weight, you need to create a “calorie deficit” to lose weight. What that means is, you want to eat fewer calories than your body burns in a day. To do this you must know how to calculate calories in food.
For example, if your body burns 2000 calories a day but you eat only 1700 calories a day, you create a calorie deficit of 300 calories a day and you’ll lose weight. If your body burns 2000 calories a day and you eat 2300 calories a day, you’re creating a calorie surplus of 300 calories, and you’ll end up gaining weight over time.
Hence, while planning your diet plan to lose weight fast, you can create a calorie deficit by:
  1. eating fewer calories than you do now if you overeat;
  2. exercising more;
  3. a combination of (a) and (b) (usually, this is the best way because you strengthen your body at the same time)
To ease your process of planning your diet with weight loss food we have listed a few common food items and their quantity, each comprising 200 Calories worth of energy by using a calorie counter calculator:
  • 150g Eggs
  • 385g Apples
  • 28g of Butter
  • 588g of Broccoli
  • 145g cooked pasta
  • 75g of a cheeseburger
  • 51g of Fruit Loops Cereal
  • 333ml of Whole Milk
  • 55g Wheat Flour
  • 34g Peanut Butter
As you can see above, the same quantity of food can carry a vastly different number of calories. Hence, when it comes to snacking, as far as possible, replace those potato chips or buttery delights with a fruit, a glass of milk or some eggs. It is important to fulfill our hunger without stocking up on calories. The notion of maintaining a balanced diet was brought forth simply to ensure that we do not overload ourselves solely with artery clogging, high calorie food with nominal nutritional value.
Statistically, an average adult needs 2000-2500 calories a day, but this, of course, differs depending on how physically active you are. So for those who don’t hesitate to sweat in the gym, a spoonful of peanut butter is a lot less of a sin!
Although you may be tempted to opt for a quick weight loss diet plan, do keep in mind this general rule of thumb: Women, must not consume below 1200 calories and, men, must not consume below 1800 calories a day. Your body burns up most of its daily calories just by keeping your body alive—even while you’re asleep! Hence, when you diet to lose weight make sure to choose quality over quantity because eating 100g of Broccoli instead of 100g of Potato Chips means you will save on approximately 560 Calories! Therefore, make sure to plan your weight loss diet wisely. You can also make use of an online calorie calculator to track your daily calorie intake.

Top 5 Tips for Non Surgical Tummy Tuck

The 21st century has not made it easy for anyone to watch their weight. With all the temptations, indulgences and disorderly way of life, keeping fit is getting harder and harder. Most of us are looking for quick fixes and ways we can stay fit, reduce our tummy fat, remain toned and reach our fitness goals. With the advancement of science at a staggering pace, there are many ways one can go about a tummy tuck. Let’s take a look at the 5 most proven solutions on how to lose tummy fat!
1. Say no to sugar!
Sugar, especially refined sugar is very harmful to your body. Your liver is the only organ that can process sugar, as a result of this any excess of sugar is directly converted into body fat.
There has been study after study that has come out demonstrating that excess sugar or fructose leads to lots and lots of belly fat. Excess sugar can also train your body to be insulin resistant and that can cause its own host of health problems and only compounds excess belly fat.
2. Prettislim’s U-Lipo Service
This nonsurgical, 4 step procedure an intelligent alternative to surgical liposuction. Ultrasound technology of U-Lipo allows a predetermined amount of energy to be focused onto the subcutaneous adipose tissue. As the ultrasound waves converge towards the targeted area, they cumulate at a certain point and produce a cavitation effect leading to mechanical breaking of the cellular membranes and the release in the intercellular fluid of the stored triglycerides which are rapidly and naturally metabolised. The Non-Ablative Radio Frequency penetrates into multiple layers of the skin, ensuring improved clinical efficacy and noticeably visible results.
Vacuum Suction, the third step is a procedure used for body sculpting & cellulite reduction. The medical effect of Vacuum Suction is realised by means of vacuum that causes the local rush of blood and lymph to skin from deep lying tissues, which exerts the reflex influence on vessels of internal organs. The last step of this procedure is a Power Vibra. A Power Vibra is a fitness training system that can increase your weight loss potential by helping you burn more calories in just 10 minutes. The Power Vibra also stimulates your muscles, improves the flow of lymph, decreases blood pressure and increases blood circulation and oxygenation.
3. Aerobic Exercises
Aerobic exercise is excellent for curtailing and burning belly fat. Vaporising calories via running, biking, swimming—anything that gets your heart rate up—wins over resistance training when it comes to getting rid of the stuff, exercise for weight loss. A recent study from Duke found the sweet spot: Jogging the equivalent of 12 miles a week will help you lose belly fat.
4. Catch enough zzzzzzz’s
Routinely catching 5 hours or less per night increases visceral fat. Not catching enough sleep de-energizes you, resulting in the consumption of more calories. If you are on an exercise routine, then it’s a good idea to get enough sleep so your body has time to recover and repair sore muscles.

7 Weight-loss Rules

Our generation is constantly at war against obesity. With the turn of the millennium the number of people considered overweight has steadily increased. Obesity causes numerous health and psychological issues. We need to equip ourselves and our lifestyles with the correct practices to combat obesity.
Here are a few rules for weight loss:
1. Drink Water especially before meals
Drinking water can boost metabolism by about 24-30%
2. Have meals that are rich in protein
Having meals that are rich in protein can fill you up. You need it to build lean muscle so that it increases your metabolism burning more fat.
3. Cut back on added sugar
Added sugar is the most harmful ingredient in the 21st century diet and we are consuming too much of it. Studies show that sugar consumption is strongly linked with the risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases and others.
4. Don’t skip breakfast!
Skipping through your breakfast doesn’t save calories. After an all night fast the best way to jump-start your metabolism is to eat within the first half an hour of waking. When we skip breakfast we tend to compensate for it by eating overconsumption at lunchtime or later in the day.
5. Lifting weights and Aerobic exercises
When we diet to lose weight it causes muscle loss and slows down metabolism. The best way to prevent this from happening is to do some form of resistance training. Resistance training can prevent you from losing muscle mass and keep your metabolism levels high.
Aerobic exercises are an excellent way to burn calories, they help us effectively lose belly fat and the unhealthy fat that builds up around your organs and causes metabolic diseases. This is one of the best weight loss tips.
6. Sleep enough!
Sleeping is highly underrated, studies show that poor sleep is one of the strongest risk factors for obesity, and is linked to a 55% increased risk of obesity in adults. When you’re tired and frazzled, your body cranks up the production of cortisol, the stress hormone that can cause carb cravings. Not getting enough sleep also boosts your levels of ghrelin, a hormone associated with hunger, while suppressing leptin, a hormone that signals fullness and satiety.
7. Don’t diet, eat healthy
Most of our diet plans for weight loss never work in the long term. Instead of going on a diet we can eat healthy and focus on being a healthier happier and fitter person. Thinking of a diet as something you’re on and suffering through only for the short term doesn’t work.
It is important to know and understand there is no quick weight loss diet plan, there’s no easy way out. Losing weight takes time and requires a thorough effort, simply consuming weight loss foods has never been enough and never will be. Having said that we have the resources and owe it to ourselves to lead a healthy life. It all starts with a positive mindset! quick weight loss diet plan

A Quick Health Guide on Weightloss from CMD of Prettislim, Dr Puneet Nayak

The internet is a place with tons of bad weight loss information. It is extremely difficult for one to find weight loss tips that don’t come with a list of unrealistic tasks. It’s an even tougher task to find weight loss tips that are logically and scientifically backed. Fortunately, we have wise words straight from the expert, Dr. Puneet Nayak – CMD of Prettislim, on how to lose weight naturally:-
Here are Dr. Nayak’s top 5 tips for weight loss –
1. Adding protein to one’s diet
If one is thinking weight loss, ‘protein’ has to be top of mind. Protein is the king of the nutrients. RDA Of Protien is 1 gm per kg of ideal body weight for Normal Sedentary Individuals. Protein is deficient in Most of Indian Diets. A body can burn calories when digesting and metabolizing protein that it consumes. A high-protein diet pushes up the ‘calories burnt count’ by 80-100 calories per day. High-protein diets also make one feel more full, in-turn reducing the chances of unhealthy ‘in-between’ meals. A high protein diet can realistically result in reduction in consumption of up to 400 calories per day.
2. Eat whole single ingredient foods
Basing one’s diet on whole, single ingredient foods is an easy way to keep that calorie count in check. It is the easiest way to lose weight. By doing this one eliminates a variety of processed food, added fat and added sugar. Whole foods also provide the body with the essential nutrients that it needs to function well. Eating whole foods is extremely healthy and by doing this, weight loss treatment is inevitable.
3. Do some sort of cardio
Doing cardio is a great way to burn fat, keep fit and feel good. One can choose from a ton of ways to indulge in cardio. Whether it’s jogging, cycling, hiking, playing a sport or power walking, all forms of cardio provide not only physical but also mental health benefits. A quick-fix to keep one’s body weight in check, cardio is particularly effective in controlling that much-dreaded body fat.
4. Drink more water
This might be something that one comes across everywhere but Dr. Nayak cannot stress on this enough. The only reason everyone comes across this tip is because there is significant truth to it. Drinking 0.5 liters of water increases the calories burnt for the following hour. Drinking water before meals also leads to reduced calorie intake especially as one grows older. The main benefit of drinking a lot of water is using it as a substitute for unhealthy soft drinks we tend to consume casually and frequently. Drinking 12-15 glasses of water daily is advisable.
5. Add resistance exercises
When switching diets or taking up restricting diet plans, loss of muscle mass is a simple side effect that needs to be tackled with care. On losing a lot of muscle, the body also starts reducing the rate at which calories are burnt. One should never shy away from lifting some weights and reap the benefits of weight loss, healthier looks and a better mindset.
Dr. Nayak insists that despite the odds of one’s schedule and lifestyle being against weight loss, the first step is convincing the mind that this is what one truly wants. One can easily find 100 unique methods on how to lose weight fast but let’s be honest, with the way one’s daily and weekly schedule pans out, it’s almost impossible to live that 100% clean and healthy life. Whether it’s getting that quick yet unhealthy bite before the afternoon meeting or skipping a meal when caught up with work, hectic schedules do not help anyone in their quest for weight loss. Prettislim’s U-lipo program is the perfect solution for the modern day individual’s weight loss problems. By taking out just one hour in the week, instead of few hours in the day, anyone can shed a few inches off every week. A completely effective, safe and painless method to shed those kilos without the ill-effects of actual liposuction. To top it all off, U-lipo is a convenient and economical avenue to help with weight loss problems.

8 WEIGHT LOSS MYTHS YOU PROBABLY BELIEVE

With all of 2017’s ‘trendy diets’ and weight loss tips, it’s hard to keep track of what is true and what is not. Many diet plans to lose weight fast are being recommended but not many know the truth behind them. Here are a few weight loss myths debunked:

MYTH: Skipping meals will help me lose weight.
FACT: Generally, skipping a meal will make you more likely to binge on the next one. Studies have even found a link between obesity and skipping meals. It only results in a loss of energy, which eventually adversely affects health and wellbeing. With fasting and long gaps between meals, one tends to lose only muscle and water. A complete change of lifestyle is what is needed in order to keep the weight off permanently, not meal skipping!
MYTH: Lifting weights will make me bigger, not slimmer.
FACT: People often avoid lifting thinking they will “bulk up.” But lifting is one of the best ways to get slimmer. It helps you build muscles, an important part of burning more calories! What does make you bulkier is lifting extremely heavy weights.
MYTH: I have to work out for 45 minutes at a time to get anything out of exercise.
FACT: Even 30 minutes of walking helps you burn calories. Start with a 30 minutes stroll 5 times a day. Then increase the time and start a brisk walk. Set goals for yourself everyday and watch those calories burn away!
MYTH: Eating healthier is eating expensive.
FACT: Eating healthier doesn’t need to cost more. Canned and frozen veggies can sometimes offer the same nutrients as fresh produce. A healthier life means less healthcare costs in the long-run. Weight loss foods are not always expensive. One could opt for eggs, leafy greens, fish and other healthier as well as cheaper options.
MYTH: Calorie counting is the best strategy.
FACT: While it is helpful to track your calorie intake, you also need to pay attention to what makes up those calories. Consuming 500 calories of fruits and veggies is obviously better than consuming 500 calories of your favourite burger and fries.
MYTH: Weight loss diets always work.
FACT: People have always been made to believe that intense weight loss diets work. But this may not necessarily be true. Diet plans to lose weight have become a fad in today’s world. Some studies show that people who go on a diet are actually the ones most likely to gain weight in the future. Heavy Dieting and starving don’t usually work in the long run.
MYTH: Healthy food always tastes bad.
FACT: Foods prepared with less oil or fat can be as tasty as the standard preparation. By use of low-fat curd based spreads, interesting dips, low-fat milk instead of cream in gravies, paneer instead of butter, the addition of nuts to salads, use of various curry powders, spices, and condiments, food can be made tastier minus the load of fat. Once the health consciousness sets in one automatically becomes more creative with food modifications and is able to achieve perfect results in terms of nutrition and taste.
MYTH: Avoid Allcarbs
FACT: Not all carbs are bad. Complex carbohydrates (think whole grains) help you load up with nutrients and fiber and give you the much required energy for a tough workout. Try brown rice and whole grain bread for your next “quick weight loss diet plan”!.
Ignore the myths and embrace the facts, and move one step closer to wholesome, healthy lifestyle!
