This ranking comes after an extensive All India Lifestyle Hospital & Clinic Survey which was conducted by Times of India in collaboration with i3 Research Consultants. The objective of this research was to arrive at a list of top lifestyle hospitals and clinics in India (for elective procedures or treatments). The study had two major modules i.e. Perceptual Rating Survey & Factual Survey preceded by desk research to create and identify the broad list. In the perceptual module, a structured questionnaire was administered among selected respondents to arrive at a ranking & rating of lifestyle hospitals & clinics in respective therapeutic areas viz Diabetology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Trichology, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Dentistry and Ophthalmology. This exhaustive research experiment was conducted by surveying around 600 lifestyle clinics and hospitals. The research itself included a number of modules and steps that were carried out in a well thought out sequence.
The basic research methodology began with a perceptual survey, wherein respondents who were familiar with certain clinics were required to rate the clinics from 1-10, 1 being poor, and 10 being excellent. The questions they answered covered a number of parameters including value for money, infrastructure, quality of the treatment, convenience and more. The questionnaire was designed as such that experts, and past as well as current users of the respective therapeutic areas were exposed to the same parameters. The final analysis was that Prettislim was ranked as No.1 in Mumbai. The Centre for Obesity and Diabetes Surgery was ranked 2nd, The Cosmetic Surgery Institute ranked 3rd, and Dr. Sharad Sharma's Metabariatrics Clinic ranked 4th.
